Charles “Charlie” Jaten passed away peacefully at home on July 11th, just shy of his 82nd birthday. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Charlie lived a life full of love, laughter, and quiet strength. He had multiple academic degrees and spent his career in leadership roles within the federal government, but his greatest pride was his family. Charlie was a deeply loving and supportive father, and he was known affectionately as “Paka”-a source of warmth and wisdom. Charlie’s sense of humor was unforgettable. He had a gift for making people laugh and his playful spirit brought joy to every room. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darragh; children Keefe, Elin, Thecla; and 9 grand children.
