Hollis Keith OBITUARY

Hollis Keith, of Littleton, CO, passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born October 7, 1935, in Abilene, TX, to John L. Keith and Novelle (Kirkpatrick) Keith.

He attended Abilene High School, and married Wanda Atwood on June 4th, 1956, where they soon took off on an adventure to Fayetteville, NC, where he was Stationed at Fort Bragg with the 82nd Airborne Division. A career path eventually led them to Arvada, CO, where they lived for 51 years until moving to Littleton, CO, to be near their daughter.

They had 2 children, Charles Hollis Keith, and Lori Diane Keith (Kraft).

Hollis spent most of his life as a member of Sheetmetal Local #9 in Denver, CO. In 1992, he went into business, opening Classic Metal, Inc. with several partners. They specialized in stainless steel, copper, and bronze. He could take his family all over town, and to Denver International Airport, to show off all the beautiful work they did. His son, Charlie Keith, and grandson Charles Robert Keith, also contributed to the many metal artworks around Denver, CO.

He was an avid sport fan, enjoying The Nuggets, Rockies, and Broncos. He enjoyed old western shows, playing card games with friends, and he never met a dog that he did not love.

The impact that Hollis had on those he encountered, regardless of the setting, is immeasurable. The wisdom, the work ethics, his life of character and integrity, and the love of his family that he demonstrated daily. He made a difference in so many lives.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Keith; sisters, Helen Bigham, Winnie Antilley, Johnny VanCleave (Hoskins); and is survived by his sister Betty Susan Raughton. He leaves behind a loving family, son, Charlie (Laura) Keith; daughter Lori (Steve) Kraft; grandchildren, Charles Keith, Jared (Bethany) Keith, Natalie (Nate) Lawson; great-grandchildren, Brodie, Mackenzie, Pricilla; Highland; many nieces and nephews. He is reuniting with, and leaving behind many close friends, family and loved ones.

The Celebration of Life will be at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth, Lakewood, CO 80227, August 4th, 11:00 am, reception following service, Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 West Kenyon Avenue, Area C, Denver, CO 80236, 2:00 pm.
