Timothy D. Roble OBITUARY
Timothy Donn Roble, 80, of Denver, CO, passed away on July 8, 2025, at the Denver Hospice. He was born on November 24,1944, to Edwin and Zoe Roble of Bethlehem, PA. Tim was raised in Arlington Heights, IL, and Phillipsburg, NJ, with his parents and brother Daniel Roble. Tim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Yale University in 1966, and his J.D. degree at Harvard University in 1970. He worked as a tax lawyer at a major New York law firm after graduating from Harvard, and eventually moved to Denver, where he practiced law with Ducker, Gurko and Roble. In 1992, Tim became affiliated with Simpson Housing Corp. In 2002, he and some friends started their own affordable housing development firm, MBR Development Company, which built affordable housing in Douglas County, CO.
Tim served on the Cherry Hills City Council for many years and loved running on the Highline Canal in Cherry Hills Village, CO. His real passion was always golf: not only playing it and watching it on TV, but discussing it with anyone who wanted to listen, particularly on the phone with his father who caddied at a U.S. Open and had the opportunity to play golf professionally. Tim also played squash for many years at the Denver Club. Tim loved playing golf at Cherry Hills Country Club.
Throughout his career Tim was known for his sharp intellect and integrity earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. His professional journey reflected his commitment to public service and community improvement, especially through his focus on affordable housing projects that made a lasting impact in Colorado.
Beyond his work, Tim cherished time with his family and friends and was known for his dry wit and deep curiosity. He was an avid reader and enjoyed lively conversations on subjects ranging from law and politics to history and the arts. In order to be with his family, Tim skied and biked for many years, even though those were not his favorite activities.
Tim is survived by his wife, Beverly Quail Roble of Denver, son, Benjamin Wilson (Rosmary) Roble, and granddaughter Willa Roble, all of San Francisco, daughter, Elizabeth Leeds Roble of Chicago, and his brother, Daniel (Donna Cameron) Roble of Boston, and their children and grandchildren.
Tim was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 11 years old and died of complications relating to diabetes.
