Elizabeth Hawley Waggoner OBITUARY

Elizabeth (“Beth”) Waggoner was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on March 28, 1947. She grew up in Denver, attended East High School (Class of 1965), and graduated from CU Boulder in 1969.

Discovering a love of travel, Beth opened Camelot Travel and Detours in 1973. She owned and operated both businesses for 26 years. Later, Beth became a Certified Financial Planner for 10 years until her retirement.

She passed away on May 21, 2025. Beth leaves behind her sister, Sloan Jump, two daughters, Jennifer Ley and Emily Ley Palmieri, and five grandchildren, ex-husband Gary Waggoner, as well as numerous friends.

Services will be on Saturday, July 26 at 1 PM at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd, Centennial, CO. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Colorado Humane Society or Denver Botanic Gardens would be appreciated. For full obituary visit www.horancares.com/obituaries/elizabeth-waggoner.
