August 7-18: Opera Artist Institute in session. Studying under master performers, this program hones the performance skills for aspiring professional opera singers. A scholarship fund has been established to assist promising students. Donations to the ECO scholarship fund are always appreciated.
August 10: Arias Concert (TBD) the OAI singers present famous pieces from many popular operas
August 13: Free public concert at the Botanic Park 12 Noon OAI singers perform classical and recent works.
August 16: OAI Scenes Concert (TBD) The OAI singers re-enact scense from major operas.
August 17: (exact Date is tenative) Symphonic Opera Concert at the Strings Music Pavilion. ECO presents performances by NY Metropolitan Opera singers and our own Keri Rusthoi along with the Emerald City Opera Orchestra. General admission is open seating, but reserved seats will be available on the “Box Office” page starting late june 2013. All reserved seats are best available at time of purchase and will be held in your name at the door.
August 17: Gala Celebration and Cast Party with the Stars - 9:30pm (TBD).
Immediately after the concert, join the performers for a celebration of the Emerald City Opera perfromance with wine and late evening hors d’oeuvres.
August 12: Vocal Master class (RBD). Listen in as Professional perfromers provide coaching and advice on voice technique and stage presence to the OAI singers.
